PANCHAVATI- LORD RAM VANVAS

Panchavati, the land where Lord Ram spent of his 14-years vanvas(exile). This place is known in Ramayana for Sita Haran and many events that happened here. Panchavati is situated on the banks of river Godavari, the second largest river in India. It got its name from 5 Banyan Trees which is situated there. Panchavati is not very far from Nasik which is a major city of Maharashtra. When you will enter Panchavati you will find that it is a place of lots of mandirs (temples). You can cover Panchavati all by walking only. First there is Kalpeshwar Mandir, it is situated on the way to Ramkund. This is one of the few mandirs of shiva where Shivalinga is available but not Nandi. The story behind this is that, Shiva and Bhrama got in a huge fight in the result Shiva cuts one of the Brahma’s faces thereby sinning, this is known as Bhrama Hatya. SHIRDI WALE SAI BABA

Shirdi is an small town located in Maharashtra state of India. Shirdi is known because Sai Baba came to that town and start giving his teachings to his devotees. We started our journey from Ujjain by road. It took normally takes around 9 hours to complete this journey from Ujjain. We started our journey at 11:00 in the morning and we reached Shirdi at 08:00PM. There are plenty of hotels and plenty of restaurants. The prices of hotels are very high which is a huge drawback if you are a budget traveler. We booked a room of Rs1700 for only two nights. We finished our dinner after reaching there and then we went to our room to take rest because we have to leave for Sai Baba Darshan at 06:00 in the morning. If you want to do Darshan free of cost then you have to take ticket from the counters and you can do Darshan by giving money so that you will get Darshan very quickly. Ujjain is a religious town for Hindu community. It is located on the banks of River Kshipra and it is in Madhya Pradesh state of India. It is one of those cities where Kumbh mela takes place in every 12 years, other cities are Nashik on the banks of River Godavari, Haridwar on the banks of river Ganga, Prayagraj on the confluence of river Yamuna and Ganga. Ujjain is famous for its religious importance as well as for its history of kings. Ashoka was appointed as a viceroy of Ujjain under the reign of Bindusara his father, Ashoka divided Mauryan kingdom into four province and Ujjain was the capital of Western province. HARIDWAR & RISHIKESH- LAND OF RISHI

Haridwar is a holy town situated on the banks of River Ganga. Haridwar is also known as Hardwar, now the meaning of “Haridwar” is “Gateway to Lord Vishnu ji” and the meaning of “Hardwar” is “Gateway to Lord Shiv ji”. We started our journey from Gwalior, and we were in a group of 10 people. We took a train to Haridwar from Gwalior and it usually takes 15 to 16 hours to cover that distance. We reach Haridwar on 15 th of December at 11:00PM and we checked into hotel and takes rest because all of us were tired due to the long journey. Next day means on 16 th of December we went for Ganga Snan at 7:00AM. Then we took a dip at Har ki Pauri Ghat which claims to be the holiest ghat on Haridwar and it is the place where Ganga comes down from the mountain to the lands, Har ki Pauri means “Steps of Lord Shiva”. Orchha is a town located in Madhya Pradesh state of India, it is located on the banks of River Betwa. It is easily accessible as there is Railway Station in Orchha but it is advisable not to take trains because there is less availability of trains to Orchha, it is advisable to take a train to Jhansi and then there are several ways to reach Orchha from Jhansi.
